Dark clouds were gathering in the eastern sky, and it made me have feeling that the weather would get worse later. The temperature was low, -8.5 degrees centigrade, however, there was no wind. So I didn’t feel cold so much. The area along the Han-no-ki high speed pair lifts was well-compacted and firm, so I could turn as I wanted.
[Han-no-ki]
The Christmas three-day holidays ended. However, the slope became crowded with people as soon as the gondola started working. And I saw many elementary school students taking ski lessons. Also, there were a lot of university students belonging to the ski club. I saw various levels of skiing, from snow-plough turn to carving turn.
[Han-no-ki]
They are the members of “Team Enji (dark red)” who live in Hakuba village and see the Snownavi every day. They were named “Team Enji” because they all had dark red items, like beanies or neck-warmer, by chance (haha). The weather had improved around 9:30 am and I could see blue sky between clouds.
[Tsuga-no-mori]
Only the area about 10 cm wide was compacted, and others were not, of Tsuga-no-mori Slope. The amount of snow at starting point become small and the ground was bear in places. So many skiers were started skiing carefully after they made sure where to ski down. There was mogul slope at the upper area on the skier’s left, and some people were skiing down again and again to practice.
