It had been snowing heavily since yesterday! There was 35~40 cm of soft snow on the non-compacted area of Tsugaike Slope. I was very excited at the first powder snow in a long time. People skid on fresh snow one after another.
[Tsuga-no-mori]
It was still snowing on the gentle wind. However, I didn’t feel cold, somehow. The compacted area of Tsuga-no-mori Slope was flat with 3 cm of fresh snow, and I could ski down easily. Members of Snow-Panther, a ski club of Kyoto University, were practicing and looked happy with the best condition of the slope.

The area along the Han-no-ki high speed pair lifts and Godenba Course through the forest were well-compacted with about 3 cm of fresh snow. They were flat and I could enjoy skiing down. I couldn’t help smiling and making a V sign this morning.
[Han-no-ki]
It has been officially announced that the amount of snow at the upper area has become 100 cm. It makes me anxious for the open of middle and lower area of Han-no-ki Slope. Anyway, the sun shone through a break in the cloud for a while, however, it started snowing later. It was very crowded around 9:30 am and there was 6~7 minutes of waiting time for Han-no-ki high speed pair lifts.
