Tsugaike Kogen / △70cm / Snowy & Cloudy2016.Dec.23
It had been raining from yesterday, but it became wet snow on the upper part from this early morning. The strong wind involving a winter pressure pattern caused gondola unavailable. Since this is the first day of three days off, there were many people at gondola station but some of them gave up and went to other ski areas.

Shortly the wind got calm on the upper part and finally the gondola started working at 9:35 a.m. From the middle to the upper part of Shirakaba, it was snowing and as the altitude went high, it snowed harder.
[Han-no-ki]
Along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair, there was about 3 cm of fresh snow. The trail was firm and it was comfortable to skiing, and I could make turns quite easily. By around 10:30 a.m., a lot of people came up by gondola and got crowded.
[Han-no-ki]
Tsuga-no-mori was still not groomed this morning and a firm grounding came out on a steep slope at the start . But there was 5 cm fresh snow on the middle of the course and 10cm on the skier’s left as well. Sometimes the strong wind blew so hard to snowboarding or skiing, and I found a group of 4 came from Saitama prefecture being stuck in the situation.
