We had an ideal day for skiing and snowboarding with no winds. It was so cold because of the radiative cooling this morning and the thermometer showed -10 degrees. In the frosty air, the frozen trees made a beautiful contrast with the blue sky on the summit area of Mt. Omatsu in Pinebeak Area (Photo).

The groomed slope of Mt. Omatsu Alpen Course (Photo) was firm with wet snow and used for pole practice by 8 racing teams. I was impressed with the sharp and smooth turns while going down speedily through the poles.

Tsubakuro Champion Course (Photo), Mt. Omatsu Friend Course (First Photo) and Celine Course were also in a wet firm condition and groomed well. There were many experts in Tsubakuro Area and they showed us their dynamic riding. By the way, Panorama Course and Tsubakuro No.7 were also closed for private use.

A girl from Ueda City (Right on Photo) said, “How amazing the view and the frozen trees are! I usually practice skiing at a racing team in Tsubakuro Area, but I got a day off and came riding with my mother today.” The groomed slope of Fujimi Course was generally hard and icy in some parts. (*Fujimi Course was closed for a competition after that)
