A beautiful day with the sunlight and no winds. The amazing view of the slope of Ichinose Diamond which grew more whiteness thanks to snowfall last night and the peaks of Ushiro-tateyama Renpo on the sea of clouds jumped into my eyes in Ichinose Family (Photo). Today’s available courses in Ichinose Family were the slopes along No.2 Pair A&B Line and Tengu Course. Artificial snowing machines were working hard in the upper areas.

Although the snow was not fresh, the slope was groomed well and nicely firm, so we could ski very comfortably. I found the students on their school trip enjoying riding in Tengu Course where the slope was also nicely firm. The Tanne-no-mori Okojo Ski Area used as a connecting course between Ichinose and Takamagahara was also groomed and there were no bushes.

Only the lower part along No.2 Triple was open in Takamagahara Manmmoth. The groomed slope was nicely firm and in good condition so that the edges of my skis worked well. This area was not busy today, so the corduroy patterns on the slope remained for a long time even after 10:00 a.m. (Photo)

Now, totally 6 ski areas including 2 areas above, Kumanoyu, Mt. Yokote, Shibu Toge and Mt. Yakebitai are open. Okushiga Kogen will be open on Dec. 11 (Sat) and Ichinose Diamond, Ichinose Yamanokami, Terakoya, Nishidateyama, Higashidateyama, Giant, Hoppo Bunadaira, Maruike and Sun Valley will be open on Dec. 18 (Sat)!
