Yokote-yama Ski Area started the winter operation at 8:45 a.m. on Nov. 19 (Fri) finally, after 2 week postponement from Nov. 6 (Sat). I got the lift ticket at No.2 Triple Ticket Office and headed to the free parking area called Hisaka Public Parking Area (*Shuttle bus is available from Suzurikawa Parking Area, if this area is full). Today, No.4 Pair Lift (359m) is open for Kaiwa Area (Photo, 420m).
A man who gave me the greeting, “I always enjoy your reports!” also talked, “I met you before in Kashimayari. Now, more and more ski areas are open, so I visit many ski areas while I am doing remote work.” I appreciate everyone for giving me greetings and cheers today.
[Kaiwa Area, Yokote-yama Ski Area]
The slope of Kaiwa Area was getting melted after 9:30 a.m. and more comfortable to ski there. However, Kumanoyu Ski Area (Photo) is still pushing back its open because of the snow shortage (*The lower area from the middle station of No.2 Pair Lift will be open as usual). By the way, “Shiga Kogen Ski Area Opening Ceremony” will be held on Dec. 4 (Sat) by Shiga Kogen Tourist Association.
