Nomugi-toge Ski Area was open on Dec. 24 (Fri) as scheduled. Now, totally 7 courses of Rabbit along Sky Rabbit, Champion, Champion 2, Jukai, Yuriwari, Minenohara and the lower part of the Training Area are open. It is not possible to ski down from the upper areas to the bottom directly, so we need to take the down line of Skyliner.

The groomed slopes of Rabbit Course and Champion Course (Right on Photo) was in the mixed snow condition of the artificial and natural snow and hard. The snow amount was still 60cm deep, but there were no bushes in those areas. However, Champion Course 2 (Left on Photo) did not have enough snow, so it was not groomed today (*Be careful about bushes).

It was blowing a north west wind on the summit area, so it was so cold in Rabbit Course, the beginning part of Jukai Course and Minenohara Course. In Champion Course (Photo), the trees along the course blocked the wind, so we could enjoy riding comfortably.

More artificial snow is used in the Training Area in the lower part of the ski area, so the beginning part was hard and the lower part was nicely firm. In the Family Area, the artificial snowing machines were working hard for the open. I could see the snowing machines making a small mountain of snow in Tatemizu-no-saka and Panorama as well.
