Nomugi Touge / ◎80cm / Sunny2020.Mar.18
Nomugi Toge Ski Resort opened on December 20 (Fri) as scheduled and has been open every day since then, although it’s unusually warm with little snow this year. The courses were in good condition as it was cold and snowy. The compacted powder snow was nicely firm in Champion Course and Champion Course2 (pictured) and I enjoyed carving turns.

The compacted snow was nicely firm on the northern side of Skyliner in Panorama Slope. On the southern side, there were lots of ski and snowboard tracks over 10 cm of non-compacted snow (pictured). The snow was a bit rough but firm. The fresh snow got gradually wet in the sunlight.

By the way, original ramen and curry and rice that “Aiko-san”, who’s been working for Rest House Jukai for 23 years, makes are popular at Rest House Zyukai. Ramen with roasted pork (pictured, 900 yen) is good as the soup with a refreshed taste goes well with roasted pork. Aiko-san prepares them spending for a long time.

The non-compacted snow was rough and hard in the upper area of Minenohara Slope. There was about 10 cm of fresh snow in the middle and bottom area. “We often come here on weekends. It’s a great day for snowboarding, isn’t it?”, four snowboarders from Aichi and Shiga said. Thank you all for talking to me as usual.
