Karamatsu trees were coated in rime ice, which is unique to Kurohime. “It’s amazing! I wish it were sunny today”, someone coming by No.1 Lift said. It was snowing lightly in the gentle north wind as of 10:30 am.

The groomed wet snow was soft, blanketed with about 5 cm of light fresh snow on Shinanoki Course (pictured in the first photo) and Cosmos Course (pictured). I saw many visitors taking ski/snowboard lessons by instructors, who skis/snowboards beautifully.

“I check your website regularly!”, a man coming from Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture, with his family said (pictured). “I think KUROHIME FAMILY PARK is safe for children to enjoy a sleigh ride. Snow is so soft it doesn’t get hurt when they fall down on.”, he said.

It was a little bit difficult to gain speed on a sled on the soft groomed snow, covered with about 5 cm of fresh snow. But the snow was perfect for children to enjoy a sleigh ride. Snow was hard pack on the upper area, blanketed with about 10 cm of soft fresh snow.
