Today is the last operation day of Kashimayari and “MAVICpresents SPEEDEST Kashimayari 2022”, a MTB Snow Downhill Competition, is starting at 4:00 p.m. At the MAVIC booth (Photo), we could see some items such as wheels, shoes, gloves and a MTB test-riding event of “KONA” (No charge, ID required) was held as well.

It was foggy continuously, but we could see the blue sky in the west sometimes this morning. 3 people from Shiojiri City in Nagano Prefecture (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! We also buy your advance tickets every year. We don’t have our home ski areas and always decide where to go by our feelings on the day, however, today will be our last day of this season.”

[Course 7: Maruyama]

Each course including Maruyama (2nd Photo) and Course 1-A was nicely firm and in corn snow condition. The slopes were getting yellow, but our skis still ran well. In Ippon-buna Downhill Course, the right of the 2 courses in the middle was closed because of the risk of an avalanche.

Not only the slopes, Pokemon Snow Adventure was also groomed well. The tubing course, which has 3 ranes, was nicely soft today. Anyway, we greatly appreciate you all for coming to Kashimayari and supporting our reports this winter!
