There was even a 100cm gap between the surface of the groomed slope and the top of the off-piste area! The lifts were late for the opening because of the heavy snow and No.1 Quad was open at 8:45 a.m. In Course 1-A (Photo) which was a nicely soft groomed slope and covered with 15cm fresh snow, we could enjoy the feel of fluffy snow.

2 people from Suwa City in Nagano Prefecture said, “We always enjoy your reports! I always check your reports and decide which ski area to go to. By the way, the road in the north part of Matsukawa Village was frozen today.” The way from Omachi Onsen-kyo to Central Parking Area was cleaned up completely this morning.

Finally, No.5 Pair was open at 9:00 a.m. and we found 60-70cm deep fresh snow in Course 5-B (Photo)! That deep powdery snow gave us an amazing feeling of floating, but it was so hard to get off of the snow once we got stuck. Actually, our reporter fell into the snow and got stuck for a while.

In the nicely soft groomed slope of Course 5-A, we could still enjoy the 25cm fresh snow topped on the slope. In Pokemon Snow Adventure (Photo), the staff was struggling to remove the snow on the moving walkway. I came back here after 2 hours, but only half of the walkway was cleaned up….
