It had been snowing since Dec.30 (Thu) but it finally calmed down. We only had a dusting of snow this morning. There was no wind on West Mt. and I saw snow-capped mountains, Lake Aoki, and a sea of clouds. The powdery snow was firm-groomed on Course 5-A (pictured in the first and second photo).

“We’re checking your website. It’s a great day for carving!”, two instructors at AZ PRO snowboarding school said. The soft bumps were nice on the ungroomed trails of 5-B and 5-C.

The little sunlight came through clouds and the sky began clearing up around 9 am. The powdery snow was firm-groomed on Course 1-A and Kurosawa Slope, too. “Hi, how are you? We’re checking your website. We often saw you, actually.”, two snowboarders coming from Kyoto city, Kyoto prefecture said.

“This is our second visit to Kashimayari. We’ll enroll in AZ PRO snowboarding school later. We’ve got one-day tickets on your website. We’ll snowboard in Hakuba Sanosaka tomorrow and then Skijam Katsuyama for the next two days.”, they said. “We’re divorced. We even have grandchildren. These goggles and caps make us look younger.”, they said, although they looked like they were in their twenties. (You’re kidding me!”)
