The warm weather from Mar. 18 (Thu) and rain on the last weekend made the snow thaw very rapidly, so now only East, South, View and Gezan Course (Sunny Valley → Lower Paradise) are open from Mar. 22 (Mon). The lifts on operations are Gondola, 4-sen East, 5-sen South and View 2, totally 4 lifts. DC PARK is open from 9:00 a.m. everyday.

All of the courses were groomed well and in corn snow condition. This early morning, South was hard and East was nicely firm. As the temperature was getting warmer because of the sunlight, the snow surface of East got melted and smooth just in 30 minutes.

In Gezan Course from Sunny Valley to the lower part of Paradise, the ground was exposed on some parts and there were boards calling attention. However, my skis ran well on the smooth snow, so we could enjoy cruising comfortably. The lower part of Paradise still had enough snow to ski thanks to the artificial snowing machines.

It is very recommended to spend a chill time at Skyark Deck Cafe on a calm spring day like today and have the meals of local fresh foods. “Deck Cafe Original Plate” (Photo, JPY1,100 + Extra JPY220 for Soup or Coffee) will be served with French Toast, Shinshu Miso Dressing Salad and Hakuba Ham Original Frank (Sausage).
