Hakuba Iwatake / ○150cm / Cloudy & Sunny2019.Mar.29
We had snow over the last two nights and it was pretty chilly last night, even though it was late March. Everything was covered with rime from Gezan Course to the upper area this morning. The slope will be closed in only three days. Beginners and intermediate skiers/snowboarders went into DC PARK, which was well-prepared as usual, one after another.

About 4 cm of fresh snow from last night was well-pressed at North Slope. My ski edges cut into the firm wet snow well and I enjoyed making turns. Meanwhile, I saw some skiers going straight through the flat compacted slope.

The flat surface of East Slope, covered with wet snow, was getting melted. I saw some snowboarders trying Mogul Course along 4-Sen East again and again. Gezan Course and South Slope were in great condition too.

The top area of Iwatake was crowded with elementary school students coming with Hakuba Sanroku Tours. They were having fun with slacklining and tubing, which are available for everyone, and buggy cruises, which were operated exclusively for them. By the way, courses were being prepared at the hilltop for “Hakuba Paradise Slalom”, which is going to be held tomorrow.
