Hakuba Iwatake /◯150cm / sunny2019.Mar.09
It was comfortable morning with a blue sky and cool air. The view of Ushirodate mountains, including Japan North Alpes, was really beautiful covered with white snow. A women of the group from Toyama (the center in the photo) said, “I always read your reports! I used to be a park digger in Iwatake. Today I’m navigating for my friends.
[Descending Course]
The snow which flitted until yesterday morning and granular snow were mixed by the mill in the early morning in South Slope. Advanced skiers were sliding down at a high speed despite slight unevenness and gentle ups and downs.
[South Slope]
There were crowded with people in each course at mountain sides because it was sunny Saturday. East Slope was flat and there were smaller granular snow than in South Slope, so it was good condition with compacted snow. We could also enjoy sliding with compacted snow in VIEW D.
[East Slope]
The snow in Descending Course and Sawa Course also became muddy with the strong sunshine around 9:00. A family from Shizuoka said, “We always read your reports! The burns were a little bit hard now, but it was great with sunny!!”
