Hakuba Iwatake / ◎200cm / Cloudy2019.Feb.15
The clear blue sky in the early morning was covered with light clouds and the sun disappeared behing the clouds, so it was a little bit dark at 8a.m.. Gondola started late because of the prolonged maintenance and inspections, so people hearing the announcement of the delay were heading soon to Paradise Triple.
[Paradise Slope]
Paradise Slope was groomed well and compacted. Steep slopes at the early stage was hard for edges to catch snow, on the other hand, from the middle we could turn as we like with edges biting snow. When we finished warming up, the gondolas began to work.
[Paradise Slope]
South Slope was wide and we could enjoy a beautiful view of the pattern of traces, so we didn’t want to enter into. It was the best condition for sliding down with edges biting soft powdered snow. Two ladies living in Hakuba said, “We always read your reports! We are feeling good to slide down in five courses.”
[South Slope]
It’s long time to see the view of Hakuba Three Mountains with the high-clouds in the sky today. There were some random deep moguls and hard areas in VIEW A, but we could try to slide down thanks to soft snow on it. A lot of people, including international visitors, jumped to slide down.
