Hakuba Iwatake / ◎200cm / light snow2019.Feb.12
The trees at the top of the ski resort were wrapped in fog ice. The temperature was kept low in the fog, the snow was falling on a weak wind, but I did not feel the cold. The couple from Tokyo and a man from Hakuba village talked about “We are always watching the Snownavi! it’s a beautiful condition so I want you to be sunny.”
[South Slope]
The compacted snow was moderately tightened powder snow on lightly fell snowy, so Southern slope and East Slope were both slippery conditions. However, it was surrounded by a dense gas and the visibility was bad, and the appearance of a person carefully sliding while saying “I can not see …” “Pure white!”
[East Slope]
At around 9 a.m., at VIEW Slope opened the field of view and the sky appeared above the sky. VIEW C and D of moderately soft and extremely slippery compacted snow was comfortably able to ride on speed. VIEW A (photo) of non compacted snow was about 10 cm fresh snow. Iwatake summit was still in the fog.
[VIEW A]
As I got off to the foot of ski resort, visibility stabilized at the Sunny Valley Course. It was also tightened snow moderately and was slippery here. On the “Surf Ride Course” which is open from Feb. 9 (Sat), we enjoyed a soft touch of about 10 cm fresh snow.
