Hakuba Iwatake / ◎200cm / Snowy2019.Feb.08
DC PARK, which was under renovation from Feb.5 (Tue), has reopened today! There were 15 items in the first half part in addition to “Shomen Rail”, which was placed sideways. I saw advanced snowboarders hitting the Daikei (trapezoid) BOX with the logo for TULLY’S COFFEE.
[North Slope]
The 6m kicker was removed and 7m and 8 m tabletops were newly set at the second-half area just beyond 3-sen North. The slope was nicely firm and I was able to get a good start sliding. I saw people doing grabs and jumping high one after another.
[North Slope]
Trees were covered with rime at the upper above Rouka and the white tree tunnel looked really beautiful around the starting area of VIEW D. The hard compacted snow was covered with a thin layer of snow. The gentle slope was soft and nice, while the steep slope made a dull sound when I tried to use edges.
[VIEW D]
The area between Gezan Course – Rouka was a bit hard, covered with a few centimeters of snow, and my skis ran well. When I entered into Sunny Valley Course, it got harder. Paradise Slope was also hard and my ski edges did not work well at the first and middle parts.
