Hakuba Iwatake / △100cm / Sunny2019.Jan.01
Happy New Year! All the wishes for 2019! The chill of the air was nice in the sunlight. Hakuba Sanzan was clearly visible when the sun rose, however, the ridgeline got hidden by the clouds coming from the west.
[South Slope]
Many people headed for South Slope after getting off Gondola. They went down on the slope, which was well-compacted and nicely firm. When I made turns on the pisten track, the edges made a whirring sound and I enjoyed gaining speed.
[South Slope]
North Slope was well-compacted and nicely firm. People arrived late at the slopes other than South Slope probably because many of them stayed late last night. Meanwhile, “Happy New Year! I enjoy your reports! All the wishes for 2019!”, two snowboarders coming from Yamanashi, whose slides were wonderful, spoke to me.
[North Slope]
VIEW C, which had lots of shades, was firmer than South Slope and North Slope. The ski edges cut into the snow well and I enjoyed making turns. There were some bare parts and bushes between Sunny Valley Course and Paradise Slope.
