Hakuba Iwatake / △100cm / Light snow2018.Dec.31
The cold and strong wind blew from the Northern Alps, with the light snow fluttering around the top of the mountain. On the other hand, the clouds opened up in the east side. The men in this photo were the first group in this slope from Tokyo. We felt the finish of the major cold wave but it still was cold and windy.
[South Slope]
South Slope has been compacted confirmly, so the condition was really good with the the powdered snow. We could enjoy turning agiain and again with the edges catching the snow. In the early morning, almost all people began to slide in South Slope.
[South Slope]
The Descenging Course, Sunny Valley Course and the lower of Paradise Slope were open from Dec. 29th (Sat.) and we can slide to the area of the Gondola Sanraku Station! The condition of the Descenging Course and Sunny Valley Course were really good but we had to be careful in the area with little snow and the tall business.
[Sunny Valley Course]
The condition of East Slope was also good with the completely compacted snow. The group from Saitama, Ibaraki and Miyagi was sliding altogether in Hakuba.
