Hakuba Iwatake / △60cm / Snowy2018.Dec.24
It has cooled down since last night and much snow has fallen! In the first opened East Slope, the fluffy fresh snow was piled up about 15 cm and I enjoyed the feel of the powder attached to the fine undulation of the non-compacted snow ground. Almost the first visitor told me, “I saw you last time in 47!”
[East Slope]
Northern North Slope has 20 – 25 cm snow accumulation, and the amount of new snow is much than East Slope. It was non-compacted snow here, but unlike the East Slope, it didn‘t bottom out and got a sense of floating. While fine snow continued, I couldn’t overlook the whole course by fog, but it didn‘t hinder slipping.
[North Slope]
Visitor from Nagano city in Nagano prefecture told me. “I am always watching the Snownavi, today I have to go home during the morning so I came to Iwakake to quickly play, it was a nice choice.” Other visitors told me, “Today’s Iwatake were few people and Moreover, There had good snow, it was a bingo that I came here.”
[North Slope]
VIEW C which opened from 12/22 (Sat) is also non-compacted snow and full powder! It has 20 to 25 cm fresh snow as well as the North Slope, and playing visitors seemed to be excited. Besides, there were almost no bushes with 3 slopes, and We were able to play without worrying.
