Snow was falling from early morning but it stopped around 10 a.m.. The upper part of the ski area was covered with thick fog. The North was groomed nicely firm and covered with 3 cm fresh snow. The damage of yesterday’s rain on the slope was not much.

The trees of the upper part of the ski area was covered with frost and the view seemed got back to the midwinter. The condition of VIEW D was same as the North. But the skis were not running well, so unnecessary turns were not required.

The visibility got better at the middle of VIEW D and the slope got firmer and the edges were making sound when I made turns. The East was also covered with thin fresh snow but the bottom was very icy and only few people were skiing there.

I met the staff of Happo and her friend who came to Iwatake on a day off. South and Gezan were firm and in good condition to ski. By the way, Kamoshika Racing, Kometsuga to skier’s right of the middle of Sunny Valley, the upper part of Paradise and Up Bahn were closed to make the course for the Students Competition (Alpen Ski Division).
