“RED BULL SNOW CHARGE” is hosted by the Austrian beverage maker Red Bull. The event will be held for four times, today in Iwatake, on Feb. 25 in Nozawa, on Mar. 10 in Sapporo Kokusai and on Mar. 31 in Takasu. It started at 7:00 with a morning glow.

What is unique to this competition is that you need to choose your board from randomly placed boards as soon as it starts. You have to go as fast as you can to the goal which is located at the base area competing with others.

They have a men’s snowboarding class, a women’s snowboarding class and a mixed skiing class. If you get the first place, you would win 100,000JPY. A man came from Okayama told me that he hit the record at 95km/h.
[Gezan Course]
At an award ceremony, prizewinners were called in the order. The medal was made of metal. The plate which shows the grade was almost dropped and people laughed at that. In a women’s snowboarding class, teachers from Iwatake finished at first and secone respectively.
