As of 8:00 a.m., the speed of the wind was over 30m near the summit, the gondola didn’t start the operation. In such a situation, the local people, including the store managers of Nikumasa at Misorano and Patagonia Hakuba pushed their way though the snow to Paradise Triple that began the operation first, and took poses cheerfully!

At the northern part of Nagano prefecture, the heavy snow warning was issued at 4:57 p.m. yesterday. The heavy snow has been fallen since yesterday. The fresh snow piled up more although the piste crawlers groomed the slope at Paradise just before the lift began to work. The corduroy pattern was covered with the fresh snow, and we enjoyed the powdery snow at the entire slope.

Around 9:30 a.m., it got crowded and the lift station was delayed. The groomed powder snow on the foundation was soft and confortable at Sunny Valley and Paradise. We didn’t find any bushes, but branches and leaves lay scattered the slope due to the strong wind.

The wind became weaker, and then it was announced that “at 10:00 the Gondola starts the operation.” Many people came to Gondola Base Station with smile and waited for.
