Iwatake / ×30cm / Sunny2017.Dec.03

17120301_iwatakeSince our last report of Iwatake, it had snowed twice in the upper areas on Nov 27 (Wed) and Dec 2 (Sat). In this morning, it was calm and the clear sky spread out. During hiking up from the bottom, the snow amount suddenly increased from the lower part of Gezan Course
[Gezan Course]
17120302_iwatake The snowfall was 30-50cm deep at the middle part of Gezan Course. The snow near the ground was in ice condition and became hard. The surface of the crusted snow, which has many footprints of small animals, was shining.

17120303_iwatakeWhen I saw the snow-capped Northern Alps from South slope, we realized how wonderful the location of Iwatake is! It became cloudy ataround 8:00 a.m. and thin clouds covered the sun.
[South]
17120304_iwatakeThe snow was groomed in South. Although it seemed that we could ski soon, the slope is planned to be open on Dec 15 (Fri), 2 weeks later. We really expect the further snow and would like to open 3 slopes (South, East and North) at once!
