Iwatake / △230cm / Snowy & Cloudy2017.Mar.26

17032601_iwatakeToday is the final operation day in this 2016-17 winter. The ski area was crowded with people from families to experts, such as a family who were enjoying snowboarding together. There was always a long line in front of the mountain-foot station of the gondola.
[Gezan Course Course]
17032602_iwatakeSouth and Gezan Course were firm and hard a little. However, skis ran well, so experts showed the high-speed skillful turns. In Mountain Side, the snow was getting heavier as time passed, but the visibility was not poor thanks to the soft sunlight.
[Gezan Course Course]
17032603_iwatakeIn this season, there was only a little snow in December, but the amount of snow increased gradually from the holidays in January. At the last, the ski area has still over 200cm snow even on the final operation day. This is twice as much as in the last season on the same day (100cm). Whole slope of Paradise was white as well.
[Paradise]
17032604_iwatakeThe slopes of Sunny Valley and Paradise were nicely melting. People from Hyogo Pref. were practicing riding hard in South. By the way, 2 events will be held on the first and second Saturday in April, “Hakuba Paradise Slalom (4/1)” and “Snow Vertical Down (4/8)”. Thank you all for coming to Iwatake Snow Field in this winter!!
