Today, the finals of Individual Acting, Student Ski Competition, are held. In the male division, Mr. Yamanoi (Demo Skiing Club, Health Sciences University of Hokkaido) who won the first prize in the last year, stood first as well in the semifinal yesterday with 838 points, 15 points higher than the second. He said, “I’m in good condition now.” after his performance of “Parallel Long Turn” with a smile.

In F Court, Big Bahn, “Combined Skiing” is held. It has been sunny from yesterday and the snow started to get melting already. While there was a tense atmosphere around the start point, I heard many students cheering vigorously at the goal area in front of White Plaza.

The goal areas got more and more exciting when the female division had started. Ms. Okumura (Ski Club, Kyoto Sangyo University) stoods first with 823 points in the semifinals and there was only a few gaps between the second, Ms. Watanabe (Demo Ski Club, Shinshu University) who has 819 points. By the way, Rookie Division of Individual Acting and Group Acting will be held at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.

We had a comfortable morning with the temperature of -2.1 degrees and the contrast of the blue sky and white peaks of Northern Alps was very beautiful. The groomed slopes of South, Gezan Course and Sunny Valley Course were nicely firm and good to ski with high speed.
