The low atmospheric pressure was traveling to the northern east of Hokkaido and the wintry pressure pattern set in. The temperature dropped suddenly and the lifts got frozen, so the gondola suspended the operation for a while in this morning. In Mountain Side, the frosted trees and fog made a fantastic view.

We expected the icy slopes because it was rainy yesterday and it changed into a cold weather in the last night, but the slopes of Gezan Course, South and the upper part of Sunny Valley Course were not so hard thanks to the 10cm fresh snow fallen until this morning.

However, there was only 2－3cm fresh snow in Village Side, so the runs were very hard. Especially in Sunny Valley Course and Paradise, there were some bumps as well.

There was a good turnout in this morning because today was a weekend, so Paradise Triple, Rai Pair and Kamo 1 had a long line. After that, the gondola started the operation at 9:35 a.m. and people moved to there one after another. “2017 Hakuba Snow Walk” also almost started in the base area.
