It was snowing with a cold wind just after the ski area was open. The snow was getting abating from the last night, but there was 25cm fresh snow in Mountain Side. I found people rushing into the ungroomed areas, such as Hilltop, HIKAGE A&B, DANGAN, SONEZAWA one after another.

In Hilltop, the hard slope was covered with fluffy snow and the spray of snow was raised every time people turned. We can see this course from the gondola and it is easy to access, so people can easily ski and snowboard into there. Almost all of fresh snow had been sold out just in 40 minutes this morning.

The central part of Sawa Course was groomed and nicely firm. There was fresh snow on the both sides and some people play with the changeable landform. In the early morning, we could see the blue sky slightly, but the sun hardly cast the sunlight, so I felt very cold during in the ski area.

The groomed slopes of South and Gezan Course were nicely soft and covered with 5cm fresh snow. Kamoshika Pocket, an ungroomed slope in Village Side, had also 15cm snowfall, but the run was hard and bumpy, so it was in difficult condition. The groomed courses of Sunny Valley and Big Bahn were nicely firm.
