After the snowfall of last night, the weather became getting better from the morning. The hoarfrost put on trees for the first time in a week and it was the winter like scenery. The wind rarely blew and the maintenance and snow removal went well, so today the gondola started to work at 8:00 a.m. as usual.

Around Japan, it was getting the typical winter pressure pattern, so the chill came back and 12 cm fresh snow was powdery! At the North slope was well groomed partly the run was hard, but generally nicely firm and I could ski comfortably. Because of many people tried to ski the fresh snow at the side of the course, so the corduroy pattern on the slope remained even 40 minutes after the opening.

Also at the East slope partly the snow was hard, but generally firm and I could ski fast from the start. Because of the first weekday after 3 consecutive holidays, there were few Japanese except instructors, but instead of that I saw many beginner and intermediate foreign visitors.
[East]
Gezan Course non-groomed and about 10 cm of fresh snow on it, but the hidden foundation was hard and irregularly rough, so it was difficult to ski. When I skied down lower the fresh snow was less, and hard and irregularly rough foundation was conspicuous.
