Iwatake / △65cm / Sunny2017.Jan.07
Thanks to the good snowfall on Jan. 3 (Tue)-Jan. 5 (Thu) and besides, it is forecast to be snowy from tomorrow, so South was open and Gezan Course (Gezan Course → Sunny Valley Course → Paradise) was reopened! However, only some parts of South were groomed and there were pebbles and bushes exposed.
[Gezan Course]
East was groomed finely and nicely firm. Expert snowboarders showed their skillful turns with high speed, bending toward slopes deeply, in this morning.
[East]
The beginning and middle parts of North were also nicely firm and good to ski. The lower part in the shades was a little hard, but I could ski down and turn as I imagined through the 750-meter long run.
[North]
Anyway, the peaks of Hakuba made a beautiful contrast with the clear sky. It reminded me about the awesome location of Iwatake again. The upper part of Gezan Course was soft and I found some bushes and the ground exposed in the lower part. However, the condition was not so bad, thanks to the artificial snowing machines.
