Yesterday, the snow stopped once in the morning and started to fall in the afternoon again. It was snowing heavily even around JR Hakuba Station at 6:00 p.m, so we expected good powdery snow today…, the snow had abated at around 9:00 p.m. It was very cold though no wind was blowing, so my hands holding a camera got numb soon.

The slope of East was groomed well and soft! The spray of snow rose lightly every time people made turns. By the way, the amount of fresh snow was about 5cm on the sides of the slope.

A few days have past since the New Year holidays had finished and the next three-straight holidays in Jan. do not start still, so the slopes were not crowded. However, quiet runs were also comfortable to enjoy snowboarding and skiing freely. Experts were going down with high-speed turns, using the slope widely.

In North, the compacted fresh snow gave smooth and soft feel during we were skiing. Three people gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” and were enjoy snowboarding before their work. South will be open tomorrow and fresh snow was carried into the slope to make it in better condition.
