A Happy New Year!! Today, “Sunrise Tour Morning Glow First Track” was held and the gondola was in operation from 6:30-7:00 a.m for the participants. It was thickly foggy, so we could not see the morning glow unfortunately, but the gondola had a line even before its opening.

TAKEKO stickers which can be used as lift passes were given to the participant. At Sky Arc, Mochitsuki (making rice cake event) was held this morning. The fresh rice cake (Mochi) and Hakuba Pork Miso Soup were treated to the guests.

The sky got lighter and lighter as time passed and East was open at 7:30 a.m! The first guest was a couple from Kanagawa Pref. The fog was still thick and visibility was poor, but the groomed firm slope was covered with thin fresh snow and we could enjoy making the first track on it.

After that, we had the sunlight sometimes when the fog cleared sometimes. By the way, Gezan Course, Sunny Valley Course, Paradise, by1 were open yesterday. However, the amount of snow was still not enough and there were bushes and stones exposed. It is recommended to use the courses only for going down to the bottom area because the gears would be damaged.
