Iwatake / △55cm / Cloudy & Sunny2016.Dec.31
We could see the blue sky, but the slopes were in the shade today. I felt cold this morning, while it hardly blew a wind. A group taking a lesson posed me with strained looks because this was the first time for them to snowboard. The instructor said they would practice a sideslip at first in East.
[East]
The slopes of East and North were nicely firm and there was a relaxing atmosphere. A lot of beginners were there, so the high speed turns of experts were more impressive than usual.
[North]
VIEW C was closed, so only 2 courses, East and North, were available in Mountain Side this morning. These slopes were very busy because now is the New Year season, so it took 7-10 minutes to get on each lift. By the way, Gezan Course and Sunny Valley Course were open at 1:00 p.m. and it enabled us to ski down from the summit to the bottom.
[North]
I met a group from Tokyo, Chiba and Saitama who would ski in Iwatake until Jan. 2 (Mon). There was an expert skier among them, so he was teaching skiing to the others. They also said, “Iwatake is awesome!”
