A couple from Mie Pref. who I met in Cortina in the last winter greeted me this morning. They said, “We have got the season pass of Iwatake, so we will come skiing every weekend!” New Year Season is coming and I got many cheers and greetings from more and more people as well today.

The slope of North was nicely firm and flat at around 10:00 a.m. Only the lower part was a little hard, but I could ski down comfortably. The ski area was so crowded with people this morning that 3-sen North and 4-sen East had a long line as you can see!

East was also firm and in good condition. Edges of skies were working very well, so experts made beautiful turns again and again.

After that, VIEW2 Pair started the operation at 10:30 a.m. and VIEW C was open!! However, the lower area had only thin snow and some parts were regulated. We could see the grand views of Hokushin 5 Peaks, Mt. Amakazari, Mt. Hiuchi from North and East, Northern Alps from VIEW C.
