Iwatake / △50cm / Snowy2016.Dec.28

16122801_iwatakeBefore yesterday noon, the rain stopped, turning into the snow, and it has still fallen heavily since yesterday night. The amount of the fresh snow was about 25cm. When  East slopes opened, it impressed me that the advanced snowboarder went down to the fresh powder snow.

16122802_iwatakeAt first the foundation seemed stiff, but surprisingly I enjoyed ski comfortably without any pushes from the grounding. The graduate and present students of Kyoto University Ski Club, who started training camp today, said “We always saw this website! I heard it rained yesterday, but today is snowy! I’m glad!”

16122803_iwatakeYesterday North slopes closed temporary, but due to the snowfall since yesterday noon, today it opened again. At the sides, I saw 20cm fresh snow. It also wasn’t damaged by the rain, but only at the bottom, the foundation was a little stiff.

16122804_iwatakeThe temperature was 7 degrees below freezing, in addition, the wind blew a little strong, so I felt cold. When I finished getting date at 10:00 a.m., the snow has still fallen heavily. I hope that the available slopes expand due to the additional snow!
