Iwatake / ×50cm / Snowy2016.Dec.10
I hiked up to the summit area of Iwatake to see the snow condition. It was snowing from the last night in the thick fog and the temperature was very low.

The amount of fresh snow was about 15－20cm deep and the total snow amount was 50cm, thanks to the snowfall on Dec. 8 (Thu) and Dec. 9 (Fri). Sometimes the snow was over my knees during walking. Besides, I occasionally lost my sight because of the thick fog.

North area also had 50cm soft fresh snow. Only a few tall grass was not covered completely still. It is forecast to be snowy for the coming several days, so I thought Iwatake can start the operation on Dec. 16 (Fri) on schedule.

I met a man hiking up from the mountain foot during climbing down, but he had gone bihind the thick fog and snow soon. The amount of snow in the foot area increased to 10－15cm as well.
