Happo-One / △110cm / Sunny2021.May.06
Now, the 3 courses of Usagidaira, Kurobishi and Riesen Grat are open after Panorama Course was closed on May 4 (Tue). We had a calm sunny day with remains of rainy clouds from yesterday this morning. Although it was chilly when the sunlight was blocked off, we felt hot under the bright light.

The big holidays of The Golden Week had finished, but this ski area was crowded with people today because this is one of 10 ski areas which are open now and still keeping various courses of steep, gentle and flat slopes. The groomed slopes of Riesen Grat, Usagidaira and Kurobishi (Photo) were already in wet and soft corn snow condition from the morning. The edges of my skis went into snow very deeply every time I turned.

In the mogul course along Alpen Quad (Photo), the part where the ground was exposed was bigger than the last report on May 4 on the skier’s right and under the lift line. Riesen Grat had still enough snow to ski, although I saw some parts in the steep part on the skier’s right changed its color with the ground.

A family who gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports!” (Photo) also talked, “We will go up to Happo-ike Pond today.” We also appreciate the season pass holder from Shizuoka Pref, people from Hakuba, instructors of Hakuba Happo-one Ski School and staff of Patagonia Hakuba for your cheering! By the way, although Happo-one will be open until May 9 (Sun), this report is the last report of Happo-one and also all of our ski area reports of this season. Thank you very much for seeing and supporting our reports!
