This weekend, “Völkl TEST RIDE Tour” (*From 9:30 a.m, No Fees, ID Required), a test-riding event of 2021-22 latest models, will be held at Usagidaira Terrace. It was not so cold today, but wet snow was falling in the weak west wind. The slopes got busy from the early morning, although today was a weekday.

The groomed slopes in Usagidaira (First Photo) and along Kurobishi Kurobishi No.2 Quad (Photo) were in nicely firm corn snow condition. I was impressed by the speedy riding of experts in the wide groomed slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad. The off-piste slopes along Alpen Quad and Kurobishi No.3 Pair were covered with hard bumps, so they were quiet in the morning.

My skis ran very well in the groomed slope of corn snow in Panorama Course (Photo). Most people went to Riesen Slalom Course just after the open, so this slope was not busy at that time. We could enjoy carving as widely as we wanted.

The groomed part of Skyline Course was in nicely firm corn snow condition. The snow was getting softer and smoother, so I could ski at high speed smoothly there. Skyline No.2 Pair will finish its operation on Mar. 28 (Sun) this weekend, but the slope still kept enough snow and there were no bushes.
