The temperature is repeating to get up and down suddenly. The coldness came back today and it was snowing with thick fogs. this morning. In the upper part of Riesen Slalom Course (Photo), the 5cm fresh snow covering the groomed slope was wet and heavy.

When I came up to the top of Usagidaira, the 15cm fresh snow on the hard groomed slope of corn snow was fluffy and light. Saki, a girl in the white jacket in the photo, and her uncle in the blue jacket gave me a greeting, “We always check your reports! The snow is much better than we expected!”

There was 15-20cm fresh snow in the off-piste steep slope along Kurobishi No.3 Pair as well. The winds blowing yesterday made the slope flat and the fresh snow was on it, so we could really enjoy the fluffy snow. In spite of the warmness yesterday, the snow was very enough to give us the feel of floating.

In Skyline Course, the amount of the fresh snow was less than Kurobishi, but we could still enjoy the powdery snow. I met a guy who gave me a greeting, “I always enjoy your reports.” this morning while waiting for the gondola again here. He was skiing with beautiful ski tracks on the fresh slope. In the lower areas, the groomed slopes were in hard corn snow condition with wet fresh snow.
