It was blowing a gale in the upper areas of the ski area as yesterday. Today, we had a Spring-like day with warm winds in the village. When I parked my car at No.8 Parking Area (Nearby Sakka Area), 2 groups gave me greetings, “We always enjoy your reports! We will move to Goryu47 now.” and “We always check your reports! The other ski areas look to be better, so leave from here.”

Only 4 lifts were open at 8:00 a.m, Sakka No.2 Pair, Shirakaba No.1 Pair, Nakiyama No.2 Pair and Nakiyama No.3 Triple. 2 people (Photo) talked me, “The lifts in the upper area were stopped due to the strong winds yesterday as well. We are having such an unlucky weekend….” Then, they skied down with beautiful tracks on the nicely firm groomed slope of corn snow in Sakka.

3 people from Hamamatsu City in Shizuoka Pref. gave me a greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! We have come to Happo for 4 times this season, but we still cannot get up to the top area because of the wind. We will come back again in 2 weeks!” As they talked, there are more windy days on weekends this year than usual. Really appreciate you all for giving us a lot of greetings and cheers!

In Sakka, the snow of the south side was getting melted and soft faster because of the sunlight, so we could enjoy cruising easily there. By the way, Yeti, a restaurant in Usagidaira Terrace, is offering vegetarian curry of various vegetables and beans (Photo). You will be satisfied with this spicy taste and big pieces of vegetables!
