Happo-one / ◎330cm / Snowy2021.Feb.17
The huge low air pressure which grew up rapidly in Tohoku Area of Japan brought a big snowfall and there was 50cm deep fresh snow in the off-piste slope along Kurobishi No.3 Pair (Photo) from the last evening. Although the visibility was poor because of the thick snow and fog, people rushed into the deep powdery snow one after another. By the way, the slope along Alpen Quad had also a fresh powder slope in the morning.

The off-piste area close to Kurobishi No.2 Quad (Photo) had also enough deep snow to enjoy feel of floating. I saw some people stuck in the snow after they fell down. The groomed slope of Kurobishi was covered with 15cm fresh snow and it was a big pleasure to ski there with kicking away the light dry snow.

3 people staying at the same hotel gave me a greeting, “We always check your reports! We have been staying at our hotel for 2 weeks from Feb. 10 (Wed), enjoying the delicious meals. We always come to Happo!” The center part of Skyline Course was groomed and topped with 20cm fresh snow, so the slope was very soft.

Even the middle part of the ski area such as the steep slope in upper Kitaone Course (Photo) had 40cm deep fresh snow! Rindo Course in Kitaone was nicely firm and in good condition. The snow was a little wet in the lower part of Olympic Course Ⅱ (Sakka Wave), lower part of Kokusai and Shirakaba, but the amount of the new snow reached 25cm deep as well.
