Happo-one / ×15cm / Snowy2020.Dec.04

20120401_happoAt 8:00 a.m, fine snow was falling with the weak north wind in Kurobishi area. It was dry and powdery snow which I could shake off very easily. There was not much snowfall and the amount of the new snow was 5cm around the bottom station of Kurobishi No.2 Quad (Photo) and 10cm at the upper part of Kurobishi.

20120402_happoAlthough we did not have snowing from Dec. 1 (Tue) to Dec. 3 (Thu), the snow which had fallen before still remained and took away the heat of the ground in the upper areas. My footprints in front of Cafeteria Kurobishi did not get damp even after 10 minutes (Photo). By the way the total amount of snowfall in the middle of Kurobishi and Usagidaira was around 15 to 20cm deep.

20120403_happoOn the high altitude upper than Panorama Course, it was foggy thickly and lightly. My thermometer showed -3 degrees there. The trees were frozen and they made a fantastic view with the fogs.

[Panorama Course]

20120404_happoI could see 3 to 4cm fresh snow on Usagidaira Terrace. After hiking up for a while in Usagidaira, the crusted snow under the fresh one made a crispy sound. I found people preparing for the open in Usagidaira Terrace and Sun Terrace Panorama, but the snowing machines were not working yet.
