Instead of the “Sakka Kids Park” on the Sakka Ski Slope closed on Mar, 1 (Sun) due to lack of snow, the “Kitaone Kids Park” (photo) opened on Kitaone Kogen from March 3 (Tue) (※ 10: 00-15: 30 every day). To access Kitaone Kogen, you can use a regular lift ticket or the Kitaone VIEW ticket (※ JPY1,000 for adults, JPY700 for children) is required.

A variety of sleds, such as snow striders (photos) and snow runners, are available at Kita-one Kids Park. Fat bikes, snow scoots, and snow feet for both adults and children (* 3 items for JPY1,000 a day, JPY700 for half day).

In addition, there is also “Snow Rafting” where you can enjoy the sense of speed and power on the snow (* JPY1,500 for adults and JPY1,200 for children once). In addition, if you have a 1-day ticket or 2-day ticket, adults and children will be reduced to JPY1,000 per once. Have a break or a meal at the Kitaone Kogen Cafe (* 9: 00a.m.-4: 00p.m.).

The blue sky that I could see in the morning was hidden by the clouds that had spread around 9 o’clock. Along the southern route of Usagidaira and along the Kurobishi 2nd Quad (pictured) is a slippery flat slope where the snow is moderately tight. The skyline course was softer than the Kurobishi slope with snow shaved on the edge.
