It seemed rainy or snowy today on the Pacific Ocean side of eastern Japan as the low-pressure area, which was located off the south coast of Japan, passed. Meanwhile, it was partly sunny in HAKUBA VALLEY. It was pretty chilly and my fingers got numb. Tenbo Course, which is on the steep slope next to the upper area of Usagidaira, opened (pictured left back).

The groomed powder snow was moderately firm in the upper and middle parts of Usagidaira, except for the starting area where the snow was hard. My ski edges dug into the snow and I enjoyed gaining speed.
[Kurobishi]
Bumps were here and there in the middle and lower parts along Alpen Quad. People arrived one after another early in the morning as it was a weekend and the quality of snow was great. Meanwhile, there were few skiers& snowboarders in the area along Kurobishi 3, which was undulating and covered with bumps.

Panorama Course, the wide middle slope, was the most crowded today. By the way, unfiltered new sake, “Hakuba Happo Kurobishi”, will be released today. “SAKE Nouveau Ceremony” will be held in Hakuba Mominoki Hotel from 2 p.m. Let’s taste it together!
