Happo-one / ○145cm / Rainy2020.Jan.08

20010805_happoWarm air mass covered Japan under the influence of low-pressure air, which passed the Japan Sea between Jan.7 (Tue) and 8 (Wed). The snow turned into rain yesterday afternoon. It still kept raining hard at the foot this morning. The rain calmed down around Gondola Sancho Station around 8 a.m. Many people arrived late today.

20010806_happoI saw ski trails left from yesterday on the northern non-compacted area of Panorama Course. (photo.) It was hard to carve on the slope covered with the wet heavy snow. The southern side of Panorama Course was not rough and my skis ran smoothly.

20010807_happo“I enjoy your reports! The snow is heavy, isn’t it?”, a man from Tokyo said. The non-compacted wet snow was heavy on Risen Slalom Course. By the way, the decent course connecting Kitaone and Sakka was closed today due to the poor condition.

[Risen Slalom Course]

20010808_happoThe non-compacted area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad was not rough compared to other courses. In the middle and late south of the Usagidaira slope where there were large and small bumps, there was a place where a little soil could be seen (*After all, all areas were non-groomed.) The rain got stronger in the upper area around 9 a.m.
