It was a beautiful morning with the cold air because of the radiative cooling. The temperature gradually went up without wind and it felt nice by the time Gondola started working at 8 a.m. I got a fine view of Shirouma Sanzan on Alpen Quad and at Kurobishi Slope (in the photo). I also saw Mt. Asama and Mt. Yatsugatake in the hazy eastern sky.
[Kurobishi Slope]
The middle slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad (in the photo), which faces north, was covered with natural powder snow without any bush! I enjoying carving up the corduroy. Usagidaira Slope was nicely firm with some gentle bumps on the surface.
[Kurobishi Slope]
Artificial snow, which accumulated by the early morning, was firmly compacted at the top and middle northern area of Panorama Course. I enjoyed skiing with edges, making a cloud of snow dust. The steep bottom part was hard. My ski edges dug into the snow and I enjoyed skiing down fast.
[Panorama Course]
“We enjoy your reports. It’s chilly but the snow is really nice.”, three skiers from Shiga and Yamanashi Prefecture said. The southern slope of Panorama Course was non-compacted with some gentle bumps. It was not hard and great.
