Happo One / ×60cm / Snowy2019.Dec.05
It’s been snowy since December 3 (Tue). The snow got intense last night and it was still snowing hard this morning. Artificial snowfall machines were assembled and working at Panorama Course. The ground was completely covered with snow, although I found track of the machines.
[Panorama Course]
Snow was 40~45 cm deep at Panorama Course. It was hard and tiring to walk in the snow without wearing crampons. The snow gauge, which is located between Usagidaira Terrace and Alpen Quad Station, read 60 cm (shown in the photo). The half layer consisted of dry, light snow.
[Usagidaira Slope]
Usagidaira Slope was completely covered with snow too, without any bush. I found Panorama Pair Lift, Kokusai No.3 Pair Lift, and Alpen Quad under preparation. I also saw snow compactors around Risen Quad Station.
[Usagidaira Station]
Panorama Course is now scheduled to open at 8:30 a.m. on December 6 (Fri) as we’ve got heavy snow! The depth of snow at the top area of Risen was as much as that of Panorama (as shown in the photo). I also found artificial snowfall machine working at the middle and bottom area. The snow gradually got intense.
[Risen Slalom Course]
