As expected, it was snowing from the morning, and there was about 10cm of fresh snow on the Kitaone plateau (altitude of about 1,200m, photo) as of a.m.7: 30.The update of the official ski resort site “HAPPO NOW” (information on temperature, snow cover and fresh snow) started today. The opening of the ski resort is finally approaching.

Along with this, not only the visitors to the slopes after 10/28 (Mon) are prohibited from entering the slopes, but also for the safety reasons, access to the upper slopes of related companies including reporters is also refrained. The bush, which was slightly visible on the Kitaone 3rd course, will probably be hidden inside today due to the momentum of this snow.

By the way, a business briefing on the experience complex facility “Snow Peak LANDSTATION HAKUBA” under construction next to Mimizuku no Yu was held on 11/26(Tue).
With the aim of opening in April 2020, the whole picture of the main building (photo) has been revealed (* taken on 11/26, 2019).

There are three areas on the 9,200 square meter site: “Store”, “Outdoor” and “Event”. The building was designed by architect Kengo Kuma. The restaurant is supervised by a restaurant “Kagurazaka Ishikawa” which has won three stars at “Michelin Guide Tokyo”. There are two lodging trailer houses jointly developed with Mr. Kuma in the Outdoor-area, and the Event-area is planned to hold a Marche to sell local products. (* taken on 11/26, 2019).
