Happo One / △150cm / Snowy & Sunny2019.May.02
“Goodbye “Heisei” and Happy “Reiwa” Fair” was held at Usagidaira Terrace on Apr.30 (Tue) and May.1 (Wed). The events other than Kids Park events, including Irish Music Live (shown in the photo), Mochitsuki (rice pounding) & Mochi (rice cake) Serving Event and Jibie (game meat) tasting event, were held either inside or at the terrace because it was rainy.

There was some snow and strong westerly wind at the upper area this morning (shown in the photo). My ski edges cut into the soft, crunchy snow well on the southern compacted area of Usagidaira. By the way, “Spring First Track” event will be held here Usagidaira and Kurobishi tomorrow and the day after!

The snow stopped in 15 mins and the sun gradually appeared from behind clouds. “We enjoy your reports. This is our 78th time skiing this season. Two more until 80th times!”, skiers from Osaka said. The area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad was thoroughly compacted and nicely soft. (*Skyline Course was closed due to the strong wind.)

When it comes to Panorama Course, the ground was bare around the top & bottom area on the southern side of Kokusai No.3 Pair. On the other hand, the northern side was covered with plenty of snow. By the way, Hakuba Happo One Slope, which has celebrated 60th anniversary year, will be closed in five days. This is our last report this season. Thank you for reading and we hope you enjoyed our reports.
